1. Quick quiz in class today, based on yesterday's vocab HW.  Students were encouraged to use their completed vocab HW for the in class quiz.  Vocab HW was collected for full credit.
In class lecture, discussion and note taking "No Lunch Left Behind" Considering the Structure of the Text-Descriptive Outline.
 
US HISTORY/ Le Francois 1st period
In class today, the students finished watching a movie about Pearl Harbor and finished the corresponding questions on a worksheet. They are also continuing to read through the packet, "The War not to be Forgotten" and finishing the 45 questions in the corresponding handout.
 
Chemistry/ Roll 3rd and 6th
In 3rd period class today we filled out our precipitate lab worksheet, and then looked up the elements on the solubility/insolubility chart and highlighted the compounds that were solids. In 6th period the students started the lab.

In class today we finished watching the film on Pearl Harbor and completed the corresponding questions on the work sheet. They are also continuing to read and answer questions in the, "War not to be Forgotten," packet.

In class today, the students began watching a movie about Pearl Harbor and are answering corresponding questions on a worksheet. They are also continuing to read through the packet, "The War not to be Forgotten" and finishing the 45 questions in the corresponding handout.
 
Chemistry/ Roll 3rd and 6th
Today we finished the post lab questions for the lab titled, "Classifying Chemical Reactions," In period 3 we completed the corresponding lab, and we received a worksheet for the next lab titled, "Chemical Reactions" precipitate lab.

In class assignment: Read through posted Goggle Classroom articles and answer the attached questions on a lined piece of paper.  This is due by the end of class today, and MUST be turned in.

3rd and 6th period Chemistry / Roll
Students filled out 2 worksheets from sections 4.1 and 4.2 in the Chemistry text book. 4.1 titled, Compounds and Molecules and 4.2 titled, Ionic and Covalent bonding.

Class work:
Jan.8th "New Deal Assignment" Look at he images, and fill out the primary source tool for each. Submit to Google classroom. The image catagories include, Refugees, Horses, Hoovervilles, Men's dormitories,
and WPA 
 
Jan. 9th "Dorethea Lange assignment" Chose one photo from each of 14 sections and write 2 or 3 sentences about each photo. How do you think they feel? What do you think they are feeling?
 
Jan. 10th, Each student was assigned a person and must read from their life history and answer the 10 questions concerning their life and the job they do. The questions are attached in a "google doc" titled Great Depression. Life Histories.

As previously annnouncd, students are expected to complete the "Lord of the Flies" outline AND essay. This "Final Exam" assignment is an academic essay and must be typed in MLA formatting; 12 point font; Times New Roman, with a proper heading.  All due by this coming Friday, Dec 22nd. 
 * For extra credit:
Any missing assignments must be turned into Ms Miller by this coming Friday.
Ms Miller will accept the Juvenile Justice essay revisions for extra credit until this coming Friday, Dec 22.

Students received their outline for "Lord of the Flies": Symbolism Essay - Final Exam. Students took detailed notes and are encourged to work on this outline as HW.  They will begin writing the essay on Monday. Students have been instructed that they MUST complete this outline and will NOT be allowed to take the outline from class, beginning Monday. The outline is worth 40 points, total points possible for this Final is 250 points.

Community Service presentations began today and will be completed on Monday.
Final assignments #1, 2, and 3 are expected to be finished and submitted today. Each day these assignments are NOT turned in, points lost each day, not turned in.
Any missing assignments must be turned in by this coming Wednesday, Dec 20th, the day of the Final for this class.
Portfolio #5 is due on Fri Dec 22nd.
Students expected to be working on the Final Review in Google Classroom.
